The Fundy-Acadia coastline is one of the most dramatic in North America. The best way to see the coast is by sea. Better still is to charter a boat or rent a yacht to chart your own course along the scenic coast and explore the islands, inlets and peninsulas.
Many of the region's harbors, including Bar Harbor, Eastport, St. Andrews, Deer Island and Grand Manan offer boat charters and boat rentals. You can rent a sailboat for a week of cruising, or rent a power boat for a weekend depending upon whether you want to explore Passanaquoddy Bay or visit the dramatic fjords of Somes Sound on Mount Desert Island.
Sport fishing charters are a great way to experience Atlantic fishing. Your captain and crew provide all the tackle and know the best fishing spots so you and your fishing buddies just show up and drop a line. A fishing charter makes a great bachelor party or a unique corporate getaway for special clients. Bring a cooler of beers and hope to repalce the space with fresh caught fish.
Whale Watching-Lobster Cruise
This 21/2 - 3 hour cruise leaves the Eastport Waterfront at 1:30PM and cruises past the Old Sow, the largest whirlpool in the Western Hemisphere. We go through Head Harbor Passage to East Quoddy Lighthouse. Nature is at her best in this area as we approach the whale feeding grounds. Bald eagles and ospreys soar while seals and porpoise frolic in the waves. The scenery is truly spectacular. As we head back to port watch as the Captain and Mate haul lobster traps and add lobsters, starfish, crabs, sea urchins and other deep sea wildlife to our on-board touch tank.
This 2-hour cruise leaves Eastport Waterfront for a cruise into the sunset. We will go wherever the wind takes us, as you marvel at the spectacle of colors while the sun sets across the water and disappears behind the horizon.

Isle au Haut Boat Services operates year-round passenger, mail and freight service between Stonington and Isle au Haut, and seasonal service to the Duck Harbor Landing of Acadia National Park.
We are happy to serve our seasonal residents and daily visitors during the busy summer months, but our mission is also to support Isle au Haut's year-round community during the quiet winter months. For an unbridged island, reliable daily service is a fundamental part of building a sustainable community. Many of the things we take for granted - daily attendance for high school students, visits to the doctor, visits from friends and family, delivery of parcels - take on new dimensions when the ferry service is the only link from island to mainland.
We specialize in small group travel, which minimizes environmental impact, increases safety standards and allows for personalized, enriching and authentic experiences.
