Located in Perry, Maine on the 45th parallel, the cottages are secluded and private, but not far from local attractions and activities. Eastport is 12 miles away, where there are several restaurants and many shops to browse in as well as the opportunity to go whale-watching and deep sea fishing.
To the north is Calais, the gateway to New Brunswick, Canada. Across the Bay in St. Andrews, NB is the Huntsman Marine Research Lab and Visitor’s Center with aquariums with local sea mammals and a large touch tank. The Kingsbrae Gardens are an award-winning horticultural display with beautiful gardens to wander in and a restaurant. Ganongs, the oldest Chocolatier in Canada, is located in St. Stephen. A bit past St. Andrews is the town of Blacks Harbor where one can take a ferry to Grand Manan. Roosevelt International Park on Campobello is a wonderful combination of the FDR cottage to tour and carriage trails, beaches and bogs to explore. An international bridge connects Campobello and Lubec, ME.
