n 1900, J. Wesley Raye, the 20-year-old son of a sea captain, founded the business in the family smokehouse to produce mustard for Maine’s burgeoning sardine industry.
In 1903, Wes moved The Mill to its current location, enabling Raye’s Mustard to be shipped out by both rail and steamship.
Today, the trains, steamships and Maine’s sardine canneries are only a memory. But Raye’s Historic Old Stone Mill, now a working museum, stands as a lasting testament to the quality and authenticity of a bygone era.
Moose Island Bakery is located in beautiful, historic downtown Eastport, Maine, the eastern most city in the United States. The bakery is situated at 75 Water Street and overlooks the waterfront and Campobello Island across the bay.
Quoddy Bay Lobster is a family owned and operated fish market and takeout. We are located on a working pier just off the main drag in beautiful Eastport, Maine.
We produce a diverse variety of organic foods:vegetables, fruits and berries, chicken, pork, beef, eggs, and dairy.
Located on Maine’s rugged and beautiful Downeast coast, Tide Mill Farm has been in the Bell family for nine generations. Tide Mill Creamery was founded in 2010, born of a passion for the precious connections between food and place.
We take joy in crafting certified organic cheese, yogurt, and kefir in small batches in our licensed facilities right on the farm. All of our milk is produced on farm as well. Tide Mill Organic Farm’s herd of cows rotationally graze the seaside fields all summer, and our own herd of Nubian goats browse the woodland pastures around our home.
Our products are pure and simple, made the way they’ve been made for centuries. We never use additives or fillers of any kind. The cows, goats, and pigs of Tide Mill Farm consume nothing but grass, leaves, hay, water, sunshine, minerals and moderate amounts of grain. Their feed is free of herbicides, pesticides, antibiotics, and GMOs.
We believe in terroir, the “taste of place” that makes our products unique in all the world, inextricably tied to this one beloved saltwater farm. The thrill is that we can share this place with you—with each delightful mouthful. Customers who choose our products can feel good knowing that they are supporting local family farming and helping to keep a vital Maine tradition alive.
Granite Town Farms, a family-owned and operated business since 1985, is nestled in the heart of wild blueberry country in St. George, New Brunswick, Canada on the beautiful Bay of Fundy. From here, Granite Town Farms grows all of our own northern wild blueberries to create a unique line of specialty and gourmet products from the ground up - from the Earth to you. We pride ourselves that each product is made with wild blueberries we have carefully nurtured "from blossom to box". By overseeing the growth, harvesting and processing, we can guarantee the wild blueberries sold fresh from the field and used in our products are natural and high-quality "from the Earth to you". Each product has been researched for consistency and quality through a qualified laboratory, ensuring the contents of each jar and bottle are of uniform consistency. Our passion and commitment to develop only new and unique wild blueberry product combinations is what sets us apart from other specialty food producers.
