BikeMaine is a fully-supported, seven day cycling tour held in mid-September, the prime time to cycle in New England. The days are still warm, the nights are comfortably cool, and a hint of fall color is just beginning to appear on the trees.

Cyclists pedal an average of 55 miles per day along moderately challenging terrain on uncrowded, safe and quiet roadways, through small towns rich in local culture.  Take in an impressive range of scenery, from Maine’s rocky coastline, dotted with lighthouses and lobster boats, to pristine mountains and lakes. Enjoy locally-sourced foods like Maine seafood and fresh-from-the-farm produce at every meal.

BikeMaine is an event offered by the Bicycle Coalition of Maine, a nonprofit organization with more than 5,000 members working to make Maine better through biking and walking.

Artsipelago

Featuring a range of artist studios (fine arts, crafts and traditional arts), galleries and shops, local farms and foods, farmer’s markets, festivals, music (classical to kitchen music jams), theater and film, cultural institutions and sites, lighthouses, parks and more. All connected by ocean going ferries, water taxis and scenic coastal drive routes. Artsipelago is a map and guide to the best of the locally distinctive culture of our region!
